Where does tuition take place?
I teach most students in the comfort of their home. I also offer online tuition services. Please see my online tuition page for more details.

When does tuition take place?
Tuition takes place in the evenings during Monday to Friday and all day Saturday & Sunday.

How long is a tuition lesson?
A tuition lesson can last for either 60 minutes, 90 minutes, or 120 minutes, depending on the students requirements.

Do you offer shared sessions?
Two or more students may be able to share a lesson (subject to parental agreement). Shared lessons are really only suitable for children of the same age.

I have two children, can they each have half a lesson, one-to-one?
I do not offer this option. You may book a ‘shared’ session or two separate full sessions.

Do you tutor during Summer/Easter/Christmas holidays’?
Holiday tuition, supported with homework exercises, is highly effective for children who have ‘fallen behind’.

Do you have a waiting list?
Yes. If I have no lessons available or if my available sessions are not convenient to you, I am more than happy to add you to my waiting list. I will then contact you when I have a vacancy. Please be aware that some days and times are very popular, so you may need to be a little flexible if you are serious about booking regular sessions.

What feedback do you provide?
I give verbal feedback to the student/parent at the end of each lesson. For those who have online lessons, I send a short e-mail after each lesson. I do not provide written school-style reports.

Do you set homework?
If you wish your child to have homework, then I am happy to set it. However, where homework is requested and set, I do expect it to be done and returned completed by the following lesson.

How do I find out more?
To discuss your or your child’s individual needs, please contact me. If you leave a message on the answerphone, I will endeavour to respond within 48 hours (Please allow longer during school holidays and around bank holidays).
